§ Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiros - World's Number One Player §   

As we speak, 7th February 2010, C.Ronaldo’s Real Madrid is currently at the 2nd position behind Barcelona in the Spanish Primera Division aka La Liga. As for the UEFA Champions League, Real is still in the race to pursuit of another success; they will play against Lyon on the forth coming Tuesday 16th february at Stade de Gerland (350 Avenue Jean-Jaurès , 69007 Lyon, France).

The Club’s President Florentino Perez wants an imperative duel success this season, the club’s major target being UEFA Champions League Cup, the most prestigious for a club. This is because the 2010 UEFA Champions League Final will be played (on Saturday, 22nd May 2010) at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of Real Madrid. So you get the picture?

To motivate the Los Blancos’ players and namely Cristiano Ronaldo, the Club has decided to set a big winning bonus. After a serious meeting involving Florentino Perez (the president), Jorge Valdano (real’s right hand man), director Emilio Pardeza, captain Raul and other senior players like Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas, it has been decided that each player will receive €350,000 for winning Primera Liga and another €575,000 should they win the Champions League. Further rumours have it that upto a total of 1.1m will be paid for both Primera and EUFA league cups.

That day, the 24th January 2010, Cristiano Ronaldo broke the nose of Malaga’s player Patrick Mtiliga at the 70th minute of play. This act saw him out of the pitch with a red card from the referee, Mr Miguel Angel Pérez Lasa. Some says it was not on purpose while others say Ronaldo is a brute.
