The Club World Cup final (2008 FIFA Club World Cup) opposed the Englan Champions Manchester United v/s the South American champion Liga de Quito of Ecuador. Man Utd won by 1-0 from a sumptuous goal from Wayne Rooney.
Man Utd was also playing down to 10 man as Nemanja Vidic was red-carded.

Season 2007 was a wonderful year for C.Ronaldo, the Manchester United number 7. He ended up with an amazing 42 goals in the end of season 07-08. But start of this new season 2008 (08-09), the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo was injured and he was also in a hectic mood due to his wish and speculation to play for Real Madrid. But all of this is set and 07-08 also saw him winning so many awards as you can see in the C.Ronaldo Bio.
Lionel Messi, the FC Barcelona player, was not at his best for the season 2007 (07-08) and that’s one of the reasons he finished at the 2nd place behind C.Ronaldo, see Rankings And Results Of The Golden Balloon 2008. But this new season 2008 (08-09), the new Argentinian Maradona, as they name L.Messi, has been in a terrific form. He recently scored a wonderful hat-trick and his progress is just astonishing. I think for this new season 08-09 Messi will be at his best.
